1. Data controller

2. What the Site does

The Site collects prices, sizes and availability of football boots from third-party shops and shows them to you. When you choose an offer you are redirected to the shop's website, usually through an affiliate link (see section 5).

The Site also has a blog, a page with the deals we publish on our social channels (Telegram, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Pinterest) and short links of the form https://bootstracker.com/d/... used in those posts.

No registration is possible and we never ask you to enter personal data.

3. Browsing data

Like every website, our servers and the hosting and CDN providers (Cloudflare) record technical data: IP address, browser and operating system, pages requested, date and time. These logs are used only to run the Site, defend it from abuse and diagnose problems, and are kept for the time strictly needed for those purposes.

4. Cookies, analytics and advertising

The Site only uses technical cookies: one that remembers the language you chose and the security cookies of Cloudflare. They do not identify you and do not require consent.

The Site currently does not use analytics or advertising cookies. If this changes, a banner will ask for your consent before any such cookie is set and this policy will be updated. The full list is in the Cookie Policy.

5. Affiliate links

Links to shops usually go through affiliate networks (for example Awin, Impact and Soleback). When you click one, the network records the click so that, if you buy, the shop can pay us a commission. Attribution cookies are set on the shop's website or by the network, not by the Site; we receive only aggregated information about clicks and commissions, never your identity or what you bought.

Prices do not change for you. Our comparisons are not influenced by affiliate agreements.

6. Short links and social channels

The posts on our social channels use short links such as https://bootstracker.com/d/abc123. When you open one, we increase an anonymous counter for that link (no IP address or other personal data is stored) and send you to the product page on the Site with tracking parameters (utm) that only say from which channel the visit came.

Our Telegram channel and our Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and Pinterest accounts are run on those platforms, under their own privacy policies. We see only what the platforms show to every account owner (for example the number of followers or views) and never receive your personal data from them.

7. Legal bases

• legitimate interest in running the Site securely and in being paid for the traffic we send to shops (sections 3, 5 and 6);
• your consent, should analytics or advertising cookies ever be introduced (section 4).

8. Recipients

Data may be processed by the providers that help us run the Site: hosting, Cloudflare (CDN and security), the affiliate networks and the social platforms named above. Some of them are established outside the European Union; in those cases the transfer relies on adequacy decisions or on the EU standard contractual clauses.

9. Retention

Technical logs are deleted when they are no longer needed for security. Click counters on short links contain no personal data and are kept as statistics.

10. Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask to access the data concerning you, to correct or delete it, to limit or object to its processing and to receive it in a portable format. You can also lodge a complaint with the Italian supervisory authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali) or the authority of your country.

11. Minors

The Site is not aimed at children under 14 and we do not knowingly process their data.

12. Changes

We may update this policy when the Site or the law changes. The date at the top says when it was last revised.
